A garden sketch at coin Perdu.
Is it fair to say in April that it is too hot to work? We have a blistering afternoon here at Coin Perdu and it REALLY is hot in the sun. No complaints from me though. I took a break to do some sketches of the olive trees and a few other nick-nacks waiting to be planted in the garden…on a cooler day!
...gardening at Coin Perdu…
watercolor and pen on Fabriano artistico watercolor block HP, 18x26cm.

I’m jealous of your weather. We’ve had only 2 days without rain since the beginning of march and only one day with the temperature above 60 degrees F (15 C)so far this year.

Not fair at all.
Lovely sketch. Your sketches always make me want to try more sketching.
Enjoy your weather … remembering some of us still can’t get outside without getting soaked by rain.

Ronell, these are lovely–spring must be on your doorstep as it is on ours. My favorite time of year (well, aside from fall and winter…) I always love your style.

I love your olive trees… I don’t know why I can’t seem to make their colour right with watercolour, yours is just perfect!
